Langer Leads Trojans To 6A Semifinals

Zack Langer rushed for 314 yards and three touchdowns to lead top-ranked Jenks to a 28-14 win over Edmond Memorial in the Class 6A quarterfinals Friday night at Hunter-Dwelley Stadium in Jenks.

The Trojans (12-0) jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Langer scored on a 14-yard run just two and a half minutes into the game.

Quarterback Sawyer Kollmorgen added a 27-yard touchdown pass to tight end Tyler Ott with just over five minutes left in the first quarter.

Edmond Memorial trimmed the lead to 14-7 with a one-yard run by Josh Sierra with 2:48 left in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs then scored late in the third quarter on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Kameron Doolittle to Parker Langford to pull even.

But, Langer scored on runs of five and 58 yards in the fourth quarter to push the Trojans into next week's semifinals, where they will face Southmoore. The Saber Cats defeated Bartlesville in another 6A quarterfinal game.

Jenks racked up 469 yards of total offense while limiting the Bulldogs to just 127 yards, including just 49 yards on 34 carries.
