Class 3A Semifinals Are An All District 3 Affair
Saturday, November 21, 2009

There is no doubt when it comes to who will win this year's gold ball in Class 3A. The winner will come from District 3.

All four teams -- Cascia Hall, Berryhill, Claremore-Sequoyah and Dewey -- won their quarterfinal games Friday to advance.

Cascia Hall defeated Purcell 28-7, Berryhill defeated Blanchard 20-6, Claremore-Sequoyah pounded Tuttle 40-14 and Dewey toppled Clinton 19-14.

Next week, Cascia Hall will face Sequoyah and Berryhill will take on Dewey. These teams know each other very well.

Cascia defeated the Eagles 28-21 when the two teams met on October 30th in Claremore. Berryhill took down Dewey just two weeks ago, 25-6 in Dewey.

The Cascia Hall-Sequoyah match-up is also a rematch of last year's 3A championship game. The Commandos won that game 28-21.
