Speedy Westmoore RB Transfers to Mustang

A two-time All-American in track and field will play for Mustang this season.

Alijah Steele, a 5'7", 165-pound sophomore running back and defensive back, announced Tuesday that he has transferred from Westmoore to play for the Mustang Broncos.

Steele may only be a sophomore, but he's made a name for himself on the oval, earning All-American status twice and earning bronze in the 100 meters at the Junior Olympics.

On the freshman team at Westmoore last season, Steele rushed for 319 yards and nearly seven yards per carry, caught 16 passes for 307 yards and had nine total touchdowns.

He also had 45 tackles on defense.

Steele joins a Mustang team that is expected to be among the top teams in Class 6A-I this season.

The Broncos have brought in several transfers at key positions that should help them in the highly competitive 6A-I-1 district that includes Bixby, Broken Arrow and Edmond Memorial.

Mustang will start the 2026 campaign with a trip to play Class 6A-II runner-up Choctaw on August 28th.
